The Hamilton County Democratic Party is an organized Political action committee in the state of Tennessee. The party is located in the southeast part of the state of Tennessee. The Hamilton County Democratic Party is one of the largest local Democratic parties of 95 county Democratic parties in the Tennessee Democratic Party. Currently the party's headquarters is located at 23 Patten Parkway in Chattanooga, Tennessee. With a population of 312,905, Hamilton County, Tennessee has 130 precincts in nine county districts that include the city of Chattanooga, Collegedale, East Ridge, Lookout Mountain, Red Bank, Signal Mountain, Soddy Daisy, and outlying suburban areas. The Hamilton County Democratic Party's membership includes an executive committee, an executive board and officers. Currently the party's chairman is John Bailes, who ran unsuccessfully for county commission in 2006. The party's vice chairman is Jeff Wilson, a county school board member. The party's secretary is Alice O'Dea. And the party's treasurer is James Carpenter, who ran unsuccessfully for state house in 2004. The party's executive director is Pam Ladd, who is currently running for Chattanooga city council. The party's parliamentarian is Russell Gilbert, who recently was elected as a city councilman in the 5th District of Chattanooga.
