Jana Skinny Water

Jana Skinny water was developed in 2006 by Chairman, Michael Salaman , and CFO, Don McDonald under the National Skinny Corporation located in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania. The two men were seeking to create a beverage that would satisfy in taste while supporting health and wellness for healthy lifestyles. The flavored water is also an appetite suppressor. The active ingredients contained in Skinny Water include SuperCitriMax and ChromeMate which have been clinically proven to be an aid of weight loss .
Flavors and functions
Skinny Water began with simple water that was not colored or flavored. The original Jana Skinny Water had only added electrolytes to aid in weightloss. In 2006, Skinny Water reformed their product with the changing times. The water is now flavored and helps support different stages of weight loss. Each flavor has a name that describes its' function and contains ingredients to support each specific function.
Orange Cranberry Tangerine
Orange Cranberry Tangerine functions as the "Wake Up" beverage. This beverage contains 250% vitamin C, EGCG, calcium, and potassium. This ingredient is a key antioxidant. It is known to be a vital anti-inflammatory supplement, as well as an aid for dealing with the flu or respiratory problems. The most effective source of dietary hesperidin are found in tangelos and sweet oranges. HCA was first identified by JA Watson and JM Lowenstein in the later part of the 1960s. Watson and Lowenstein
ChromeMate
ChromeMate is another ingredient patented by Skinny Water. This ingredient is said to regulate bodily processes like the chromium. Chromium is a nutrient known for its regulation of the lipid and carbohydrate metabolic processes. However, used alone, chromium is a minute piece of the weight loss puzzle. Diet and exercies are needed to boost results. ChromeMate supports the processes of metabolic energy as well as blood sugar levels that are healthy. ChromeMate is comparable to other chromium supplements because it "provides greater biological activity.". This catechin is the EGCG. The promotion green tea holds for good health has been extremely esteemed due to EGCG<ref name="autogenerated2006"/>. EGCG has been proven to be an extremely useful facilitator for anticancer, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidants<ref name="autogenerated2006"/>. These effectshave proven to be important for Skinny Water's promotion of healthy living and uses EGCG in beverages to support this idea.
However, one of the main goals of the beverage is to aid in weight loss. EGCG has recently been proven to help with the loss of weight. Two ways to fight obesity are to lower energy intake or to increase the expenditure of energy<ref name="autogenerated2006"/>. There are three factors involved with expending energy throughout the day;the resting metabolic rate, thermic effect of physical activity, and the thermic effect of eating, which can be known as diet-induced thermogenesis<ref name="autogenerated2006"/>. Thermogenisis is mainly under the control of the sympathetic nervous system, specifically the heat-producing neurotransmitter norepinephrine or NE<ref name="autogenerated2006"/>. Therefore, to target weight loss, interference with the NE must occur. EGCG can act on the neurotransmitter NE's modulatory pathway in order to maintain a prolonged effect of NE on the receptors located at the postsynaptic cleft of the nerve terminal to exert a thermogenic effect<ref name="autogenerated2006"/>.
