Gregory Waite

Gregory George Waite (born Auckland 29 July 1954) BA(Hons) Otago (1976), MA Toronto (1978), Ph.D Toronto (1984) is a New Zealand writer, literary critic and academic (Senior Lecturer in English at the University of Otago). His field is Anglo-Saxon language and literature, specialising in Old English, Middle English, Old Norse. He spent his childhood in Auckland and was educated at St Peter's College, Auckland.<ref name="Who's"/> He is a particular expert on the poems of John Skelton.
