X Rated

X Rated is the debut studio album by Canadian dubstep producer Excision. It was his first release through the mau5trap Recordings label. The album was originally released exclusively on Beatport on 12 September 2011. It was later released to other retailers on 10 October 2011. The remix album was released on 3 September 2012.
Background
X Rated includes collaborations with artists from his label Rottun Records, such as fellow Canadian dubstep producers Downlink and Datsik, as well as English bass musician SKisM and MC Messinian. The album features only three tracks created by Excision alone. Savvy's vocals in the song "Sleepless" were from the 2003 Ben Sage song of the same name. Mr. Hudson is a featured vocalist in "Jaguar", which was co-produced by Datsik. It is the only song in the album that was not remixed for The Remixes.
