Jo Flowroshus

Joey Lee Turner Jr., better known by his stage name Jo Flowroshus, is an American rapper who has been writing hip-hop songs since the 3rd grade. He is affiliated with Twista and his Get Money Gang Entertainment label. He is also known for his up close and personal style that is filled with energy. His ability to create songs that make you nod your head and get loose in the club is matched with his ability to create music that makes you think. Jo grew up in a fatherless home in Rockford, IL and throughout his childhood he often had to hustle to make ends meet. That same street mentality is what inspires his music today.
Music career
On October 20th of 2006, Jo Flowroshus held one of his first majors shows at the Alliant Energy Center that was headlined by the mainstream act Twista. Jo continued to keep in contact with Twista and would later become a part of Twista's emerging hip-hop label Get Money Gang Entertainment that runs through EMI/Capitol Records.
January 11, 2008 marked another significant show held by Jo. The show was called the "Jo Flowroshus Birthday Bash" and was headlined by multi-platinum recording artist Lil Wayne. The show was considered to be one of the best in the Midwest area during a time of Lil Wayne's emergence into super stardom.
Jo Flowroshus released his debut album Celebrate Hope on Halloween of 2008. The album included the song "Make It Last" featuring Slip-n-Slide Records recording artist Qwote. It also included the track "Im In Da Hood" as an iTunes bonus track.
In November of 2008 Jo Flowroshus collaborated with two of Chicago's biggest hip-hop artists, Twista and Skooda Chose. The track was called "We Holdin" and was produced by GMG producer DJ Tight Mike. Around this same time Jo Flow's music was also in regular rotation on the WJQM Madison Jamz radio station in Madison, Wisconsin.
March of 2009 brought more industry success for Jo as he again linked up with Twista on a track called "Can't Nobody Do It Like This" which also featured Topix and 2 Raw. Later in 2009 Jo was featured on Liffy Stokes "The Black Santa Mixtape" which was mixed by DJ Tight Mike and released by Get Money Gang Entertainment.
Since January of 2010 Jo Flowroshus can be seen in the video for the song "Fire" off of Twista's Category F5 album.
Jo's sophomore album is due to be released sometime in 2010. It will feature other artists such as Twista, Speedknot Mobstaz, and more.
