Song & Lyrics
The song includes heavy references to Shakur's life and the events leading up to his incarceration. Several subtle mentions of various hip-hop rivals are made, as well as some not-so-sublte messages to those who allegedly carried out his assassination attempt.

Reception and Popularity
Although the song was not a single of its own, it was well recieved by fans and critics alike. Following Shakur's death, a video for the song was created using various footage from his time with Death Row Records. Former Heavyweight Champion boxer Mike Tyson, who was personal friends with Shakur, often used the song as his ringwalk music. Consequently, Tyson's name is mentioned in the song with the lyric "Fuck doin jail time, better day, sacrifice/Won't get a chance to do me like they did my nigga Tyson."
