Andrei Rosca (born July 31, 1984) better known by his stage name Drei Ros is a European rapper born in Ploiesti, Romania.. Now he lives in Seattle, Washington. Drei is the first Romanian rapper that has recorded American hip-hop and one of the few European rappers that worked with established artists and producers in the United States. He just released a song featuring Glasses Malone, artist signed by Lil Wayne label Young Money Cash Money Records(YMCMB), and , one of the best female Romanian voices at the time. Career History Early Career Drei started getting involved with hip-hop at an early age. He started writing poetry and rhymes at the age of 12. Drei found his motivation for greatness from listening to hip-hop legends like Notorious B.I.G., Tupac Shakur, Eazy-E, Big Pun, DMX, Wu-Tang Clan and other great rappers in the 90′s. He recorded his 1st album in 2004 in his hometown Ploiesti and it was titled “Intre Viata si Moarte” (Between Life and Death). The album was dedicated to his father that passed away that Summer after suffering of advanced liver cancer. His dad was still alive when Drei started working on his album and passed away right before the material was finished . The album was never released. After that that project, Drei continued recording tracks in both English and Romanian and kept improving his craft, perfecting his flow and rhymes. ===2009-2010: "Drei Ros presents B.O.S.S. (Building Our Success Story)"=== On November 21. 2009, Drei shoot a video for his 1st official single “Get Throwed”. The video was shoot by Jordan Tower in Bellevue, WA. The video premiere was on January 28. 2010 on WorldStarHipHop. Drei showed his versatility as an artist combining both Romanian and English in his verse. The video "Get Throwed" was the first Romanian hip-hop music video that was shoot in the United States. Drei released his second single "So Magical" on April 7. 2010. The song is produced by Kajmir Royale and it combines the European club sounds with the fast American rapping. The song spread all over the internet quickly and established Drei as one of the best newcomers rappers from Europe. His 3rd single "Windin" entered the independent artist contest Hitlab put together by Akon and Hitlab Music Company. The song won the contest for 3 consecutive weeks being played on Toronto's radio Virgin Radio 99.9. The song was produced by hometown friend and well-known Romanian producer Alin Radu. After the Hitlab success the song got played on various European radios in Italy, Serbia, & Greece On August 1. 2010, Drei released the video for "Hip-Hop Party", a collaboration with the Romanian singer Tammy. The video was shoot in Bucharest, Romania. The track was produced by Alin Radu and mixed and mastered by JD Feighner. Only a couple of months later, on October 5, 2010, Drei premiered another video for the song "Flash The Message", a track produced by Kajmir Royale. The video was directed by Dreea Ros and it was edited by Vision Production. Drei Ros continued record songs like Hangover, Personal Foul, Sex Drive & Girl I See You and on December 21 he released the album “Drei Ros presents B.O.S.S.”. The album recorded good sale number in the first two quarters and really established Drei as one of the top European rappers. Now the album is available for free download on the artist's official website. ===2010-Present: "Drei Ros presents 2Lumi 1Life"=== Drei Ros is currently working on a solo album that combines the two hip-hop cultures of both Romania and United States. The album is titled “Drei Ros presents 2Lumi Life” and it will be available for 11.11.2011. The 1st single "Jaf Armat" was released on March 14. 2010. The video was directed and edited by Andrei Staruiala and the song was produced by Tranda and Protone. Drei collaborated on this track with the Romanian artist Skizzo Skillz and the well known Parazitii's DJ FreakaDaDisk. The video was played numerous times Digi TV networks in Romania networks like MTV Romania and 1Music Channel Romania and it became one of the most popular hip-hop songs of 2010. Short after, Drei released music videos for “Boss Up” (feat. NSYG & BurreCollins), “Hip-Hop” (feat. Prima Verba & NSYG) and “In My Head” (feat. RobYoung). All singles from the album. In May 2011, Drei Ros and his new partner Africa, started the new label “Nomadic Records” and signed the group Nomadic Status and the artists Mo-Man, NSYG & Krim for future projects. Cash Money Records & Nomadic Records partnered for Drei Ros's 5th single of the album "Drei Ros presents 2Lumi 1Life". On July 4. 2011, the video for the song "My Mother" featuring Glasses Malone and was premiered on Libertatea, 1 Music Channel and WorldStarHipHop. The single is produced by Alin Radu, the video was directed by Dreea Ros and edited by Nicula "SEGA" Sergiu. On August 14th. 2011, Drei released the 6th single from his album titled "Dirty Game". The single featured Mo-Man (Nomadic Records artist), Criss Blaziny and Nane. Soon after the single "Film" "was released. The song was produced by Dallas and featured DOC & Angeles. On September 23rd. 2011, the music video "Crazy" featuring Red Clover artist Diedra was premiered. The song was produced by Alin Radu and the video presents the night life from Seattle, WA. The concept of the song is way different that all the previous projects Drei released and it has a more commercial and European sound to it. In 2010, Drei entered the a contest organized by Akon & Hitlab Music Company with the song Windin' and won for three consecutive weeks. That caught the international superstar attention and later on Akon himself offered Drei the opportunity to collaborate on the track called "Criminal Minded". The track was premiered on Octomber 19th. 2011, on the Romanian website Urban.ro. Drei Ros is the first rapper that worked with Akon himself. The song "Criminal Minded" will be included on the album "2Lumi 1Life" and has already spread all over Europe and is expected to get radio play soon. Drei Ros announced on the official release date for "2Lumi 1Life" on 11.11.2011 on his official website. The artist plans on releasing another solo project in Spring 2012 titled "Euros & Champagne".
