Green Festival

The Green Festival is based on a 500 acre site just outside Clairville, 30 minutes north of Moncton, New Brunswick, was established by Peter James in 2008. With over 750 attendees and 250 entertainers, venders and volunteers, the first festival was considered a significant sucess for the rural community.
It's message is to celebrate community, ecology and live music.
The festival contained many local vendors, artists and energy saving products. The festival promotes general fitness with treasure trails for children and Geocaching for adults. Loosely based on the huge Glastonbury festival in the United Kingdom, The Green Festival in 2008 show cased many up and coming bands, mainly from across the Maritimes with a few from further afield.
Over 30 bands performed an eclectic range of musical styles in 2008 including local headline country band The Divorcees.
