Facepunch Studios

Facepunch Studios is an internet forum created by Garry Newman as an official forum for the popular Source engine mod, Garry's Mod. While much of the community of Facepunch is still heavily centered around Garry's Mod, Facepunch has evolved into a forum primarily focused on the general discussion of a variety of topics, including video games (other that of Garry's Mod), music, and creative work. Facepunch's main sections are General Cocksplat (a parody on General Discussion, it's former name), Video Games, Music, the Creationism Corner, Fast Threads, the News Node (for news generally regarding gaming), and the section "See you next tuesday!", also known as "The OIFY", an almost ruleless section for "random" content. The OIFY is much like "FYAD" section.
The forums run on a heavily modified version of vBulliten 3.8.3 which includes a "ratings" system for posts, automatic thread lock, and other features. As of April 25, 2009 the forum's host was switched to Amazon CloudFront. While the host was going to be changed on June 30, 2009, the supposed host change never went through and the current host is still CloudFront.
