Penny Johnston is the presenter of the podcast series 'Babytalk' for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (the ABC). Penny Johnston is a graduate of the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS). Her alumni include Jean Kennedy (ABC News), Gennine Unsworth (ABC Bunbury) and Glenn Trowbridge (Lateline ABC TV). Penny started working for the ABC in Gippsland where she presented the Gippsland morning current affairs program from 1990. Moving to Melbourne she presented the National Overnight Program for three years.<ref name"abc" /> Returning from maternity leave following the birth of her first child Penny Johnston started the podcast "Babytalk" for ABC Local Radio.<ref name="abc" /> Now the second most downloaded podcast from ABC Local Radio, it includes subjects that are not always covered in conventional parenting manuals.<ref name="abc_a" /> How to get pregnant on a smart phone, is colic scientific and can your relationship survive a baby are some of the topics that can be downloaded.<ref name="abc_a" />
