Glenrothes Skate Park

Glenrothes Skate Park is a Skate Park in the Riverside Park area of Glenrothes. It was officialy opened in June 2011, having been under construction since March of that year. It is highly popular in the town, especially on weekends, where several BMX and Skaters will flock there to practise tricks, stunts and have an overall fun time socialising. Note that Mountain Bikes, like at any other Skate Park, are not made welcome there, as they take up space, are far too slow and are generally incapable of stunts due to their weight. The park has been condemned for the fact that teenagers (usually 13-17 year olds) use it as a place to get drunk and take drugs. This has made the Skatepark an overall dodgy venue on a Friday or Saturday night!
