About MassiveFM MassiveFM 87.5FM is a British pirate radio station broadcasting around Essex on 87.50FM. MassiveFM began broadcasting on Saturday, 1st March 2008 & in a short time MassiveFM already had a list of DJ's & MC's and were broadcasting 24/7. The Frequency On the MassiveFM website it quotes: 87.5FM was a great frequency to choose due to the fact that no other radio stations were broadcasting on the frequency at the time but many people with digital audio devices would automatically be tuned in because it is the first possible FM frequency but also saving hassle searching though for the station. The 87.5 FM frequency which had previously been used by other popular stations such as Desire FM & and before that was Mystery FM (the best well known Pirate radio station in 2005/2006 broadcasting throughout Essex).
