ENDAST is a Montreal,Ontario based metal band that started out in 2004. The name, ENDAST, is an Icelandic translation to mean enduring, a concept the band has always been able to relate to right from the very start. Beyond the translation, ENDAST has earned a reputation within the heavy metal community as good musicians sharing their passion for heavy music to as many people as possible. Since 2004, ENDAST has done a great deal of touring in support of their two independently released albums, playing nearly 1100 shows. When asked in an interview what sub genre of metal the band belongs in, guitarist and band founder Chris Arsenian quickly answered, “We’re a metal band, straight up. We play metal. End of Story.” ENDAST looks to change peoples mind about metal, incorporating a variety of elements and influences into their unique blend. 2005's 'The Promise' EP, and 2006's full length 'Odds Against Tomorrow' have solidified the band's status in the Canadian metal music scene. On July 5, 2011 ENDAST released their third full length album 'Black Cloud' which reached #6 iTunes Canada best selling metal chart at one point in digital sales. The band announced that they will be filming each show on the CD's release tour and plan on using the footage to compile a DVD with live performances and behind the scene extras. . Recent band activity include playing at Canadian Music Week , Canada's single longest running multi-day music and media event, as well as participating in Canada's heavy metal music festivals Heavy MTL and Heavy T.O. , sharing the stage with Motorhead, Anthrax, and KISS among others.
