SOS Worldwide Ltd is a commercial real estate brokerage/ serviced office broker that specializes in the provision of serviced offices/executive offices for businesses all over the world. They conduct daily operations from offices in New York and London and have relationships with over 8000 business centres worldwide.
History
SOS became the U.K’s first serviced office broker, founded in 1993 by Richard Smith.
The company began operations at 9 Duke Street in Marylebone, London. Mastex Textiles were the companies first clients after moving into serviced suites at 1 Northumberland Avenue near Trafalgar Square.
SOS expanded by opening a New York office in Manhattan, which still serves today as the headquarters for the United States and remains the only serviced office broker to conduct operations from New York.
The company currently has a global team of over 40 people and is seen as an advocate and specialist in the serviced office space market. They collaborate with companies that manage commercial office space worldwide.
Services
The purpose of the organization is to provide a single point of contact in which clients can access the entire serviced office space market. While properties are available all over the world, SOS > Search Office Space specifically promotes holdings in key locations in the United Kingdom such as Mayfair and Kensington. All of the company’s available offices are considered business-ready.
SOS also offer virtual offices and shared meeting rooms.
SOS claims to be an impartial broker. The company does not represent the interests of any specific serviced office management company. Businesses of all sizes are served and SOS > Search Office Space have access to business centres large enough to accommodate over 300 employees.
Awards
In 2008, the company accepted the Web Broker Award for partnering the OBCAI industry, which confirmed its status as a top 3 broker in the United States. Daniel Soffer, Vice President of SOS North America was awarded the OBCAI Associate Member Leadership Award 2008, at the OBCAI convention in Orlando.
