Cause For Revelation

Cause For Revelation is an American metal/hardcore band from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States.
Formation and Surviving Destruction (2003-2004)
Formed in 2003, Cause For Revelation came together when members of several successful midwest bands decided to start a brand new project with the goal of doing something different from what they had all done in the past. The band consisting of Kevin Forsythe (guitar), Jim Garcia (drums), Ryan Baxter (bass), and Chris Lopez (vocals) began rehearsing and playing shows in 2003 and soon after recorded their debut release, a 4-song EP entitled "Surviving Destruction".
In June of 2004 the band announced their signing to Funeral Verse Records (formerly First Strike Records) who subsequently released their debut "Surviving Destruction" on July 7th 2004.
Cause For Revelation followed the release of their debut by playing numerous shows and were featured on 2004's Chaos Fest alongside such acts as Misery Signals, With Honor, Too Pure To Die, and Nodes Of Ranvier.
Resurrecting The Hostility (2009-Present)
After an extended hiatus and going separate ways to work on other musical endeavors, Cause For Revelation reformed as a full-time project with new member Austin Thomas of Eyes To The Sky handling lead vocal duties.
After months of writing and performing live, the band recorded their follow-up to 2003's "Surviving Destruction", a full-length album titled "Resurrecting The Hostitility".
The album was produced, recorded and mixed by Chris Wisco at Belle City Sound (Nonpoint, Lazarus A.D., Novembers Doom), and mastered in Florida at Safehouse Productions by the legendary James Murphy (Obituary, Death, Testament).
Following the recording of "Resurrecting The Hostility" the band filmed a music video for the first single off of the album "Destroying Recollections." Cause For Revelation shopped both the record and music video to record labels, and in early 2011 they signed a worldwide record deal with the UK's Loyalty & Devotion Records.
The worldwide release of "Resurrecting the Hostility is set for May 10th, 2011.
