Nick Murdoch

Nick Murdoch (b. April 8, 1966) is a professional musician and recording artist. Since 1985, Murdoch has worked with Brit Pop groups such as Level 42 ( Polydor ) Pet Shop Boys ( Parlophone ) Kim Wilde ( RAK ) Go West, The Thompson Twins, Alison Moyet, Bananarama and Stevie Vann Lange. Later session work includes Amy Winehouse, Mark Ronson ( Valerie, the single ), Duffy ( Rockferry Album ), Michael Buble, George Michael ( Songs from the Last Century Album ) and Billy Ocean.
Murdoch trained as a Classical Musician ( pipe organ ) in London and as a Postgraduate at Cambridge. He was Organ Scholar at Westminster Abbey and winner of the second prize, Manchester International Organ Competition.
In 2009, he co-devised and took to London’s West End, The Voice of Tomorrow (Murdoch Scott Productions Ltd). This was and is a showcase to expose Musical Theatre Talent to West End Producers and Casting Agents. The Voice of Tomorrow concept has been sold to a television production company for broadcast in December 2011.
He currently works with, up and coming groups selling into major labels, SONY BMG, Island and Polydor and one of the panel of Judges at the Final Competition in Festival4Stars, along with Duncan James, Cheryl Baker, Nicky Graham and John McClaughlan.
He is an Artist Developer and works with Stevie Vann Lange from their recording and performance studios (APB) in London.
