History
Cybernautic was originally founded in 1998 under the name Cybernautic Design. The name change occurred in 2008 along with a logo change. Chad C. Parker, the co-founder, current President and CEO of the company started Cybernautic at the age of 18. Chad grew the company from a small shop operating out of a basement into one of the largest web design firms in the State of Illinois.
Locations
Cybernautic has a physical presence in Peoria, Illinois Champaign-Urbana Illinois, Springfield, Illinois, Decatur, Illinois, Ohio, and Texas, in addition to the company headquarters in Normal, Illinois. Cybernautic also operates an evening support office in Baguio City, Philippines, giving the company a nearly 24 hour a day development cycle and support staff.
Notable Projects
Extreme Makeover: Home Edition
In 2009, Cybernautic was asked to develop a site for Extreme Makeover: Home Edition Central Illinois project. This project was produced in partnership with Bloomington-based Brady Homes. The site received rave reviews from the blogosphere because it was the first Extreme Makeover: Home Edition site to remain live during the entire home construction without a site crash. Cybernautic also developed a social media campaign involving Facebook and Twitter. The project's Facebook Fan Page ballooned to over 12,500 fans in less than 3 weeks, yielding the largest fanbase for an episode.
