Consequence of Sound

Consequence of Sound, also known as CoS, is a music website based out of New York City and Chicago. It was created in 2007 by Alexander Young and currently features a staff of over 25 staff writers and contributors.
CoS' daily content includes the music news, album and reviews, and features like "Listens" (features on up-and-coming bands), the "Friday Mixtape," "Where We Live," "Dusting 'Em Off," and "Rock History 101". CoS also is home to FestivalOutlook.com, an online database featuring up-to-date list of lineups, confirmation and rumors of festivals in the United States, Canada, and Europe.
In January of 2008, Consequence of Sound leaked 36 acts performing at 2009 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, including Paul McCartney. In March of 2008, Consequence of Sound leaked several acts scheduled to perform at Lollapalooza 2009.
The website was included in a series of articles on the WNEW website profiling their favorite music blogs.
