Spectrum Culture

Spectrum Culture is a Portland-based Internet publication dedicated to reviews and critiques of music, film, and food. Every weekday, new music, and film reviews are posted by a collection of writers located all over the United States. Spectrum Culture’s motto is “Where Snobbery and Trash Collide.”
History
Spectrum Culture was founded by David Harris in October 2008. Harris had been the Managing Film Editor at Tiny Mix Tapes. After building up the film section from scratch, Harris decided to move on and start his own website.
Features
Revisit and Rediscover are dedicated to albums and films that could use a second look after some period of time. TV on DVD focuses on television series currently out on DVD. Music on DVD are film reviews of concerts or music documentaries.
End of the Aught's is an ongoing series revolving around the year's between 2000 and 2009. Each retrospective features a collection of short articles on topics ranging from movies that should become classics, to the writer's favorite gigs of the decade.
Spectrum Culture also regularly publishes concert reviews and interviews with artists.

Spectrum Culture also features over 30 collaborators located all over the United States.
Notable Contributors
After an interview between Editor-In-Chief David Harris, Franz Nicolay of Minneapolis, MN based band The Hold Steady has become a regular contributor.
