C. K. Mohamed Ummer

Prof. C.K. Mohamed Ummer, popularly known as C.K.M., is an Indian academician, translator and social worker. He was born in Thalassery and lives at Farook College at present.
Early life
Prof. Ummer was born in Cheekioldan Kandilat family of Thalasseri and was educated at Brennen College, Thalassery from 1966 to 1969 for BA and at St. Joseph’s College, Kozhikode from 1969 to 1971 for MA in English Language and Literature.
Achievements
Prof. Ummer worked as the Professor and the Head of the Department of English at Farook College from 1971 to 2003.
He has also served as the principal of Marzook Women’s College, Kozhikode from 2003 to 2005. At present, he is working as the Head of the English Department at Al Farook Educational Centre, Farook College, Kozhikode. He is associated with the organization Brennenites Calicut Chapter from 2012 onwards.
