Bob Briton

Bob Briton is the current General Secretary of since 2013.
Early life
Briton joined the Socialist Party of Australia in 1984 which would later become the in 1996. He served for many years on the South Australian State Committee of the CPA and later becoming its secretary in 2001. on 2005 he was elected to the Central Committee in 2005. on 2010 he contested the South Australian state election, 2010 on the seat of Electoral district of Lee he would win 608 votes or 2.9% of the vote. he would also later run in the seat of Port Adelaide state by-election, 2012 which he would win 292 or 1.5% of the vote.
Leadership since 2013
When Hannah Middleton stepped down as General Secretary in 2013 Briton was elected interim General Secretary of the Party in August 2013. Subsequently, in the 12th national Congress in October 2013 he was re-elected for the full term.
