Animals MMA is one of the leading competition teams for Brazilian jiu-jitsu and mixed martial arts in New York. Animals MMA's academy is located in Yonkers, New York but has competitors that travel to their location from throughout the United States. Animals MMA has two distinct fight teams; The BJJ Gold Getters and The MMA Wolfpack. The gold getters are the premiere submission fighting, grappling and Jiu Jitsu competition team and compete in tournaments held by top promotions such as the international Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation, North American Grappling Association, Grappler's Quest, Professional Grappling Leagues and ADCC Submission Wrestling World Championship. The Wolfpack is the Mixed Martial Arts competition team with several amateur champions in its ranks. The team competes in events held by Ring of Combat, Aggressive Combat Sports, Evolution Combat Sports, and Reality Fighting. History The Academy was founded by Samer Marji, and was formally known as Jungle Gym Yonkers before it dropped its affiliation with the group in 2011 and changed it's name to Animals MMA Yonkers.
