Roberto Torralbas

Roberto Torralbas is the owner and head instructor of Team Third Law Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Academy in Naples, Florida. Team Third Law Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Academy teaches Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Grappling Martial Arts, Kickboxing, Karate, and other forms of Mixed Martial Arts under the Team Lloyd Irvin mixed martial arts training program.
He is currently a brown belt and has competed in multiple national and international championships.
History
Roberto Torralbas was born in Havana, Cuba on December 19th, 1984 and moved to the U.S. when he was 10 years old. Roberto began his martial arts career in 2003 when he happened to walk into a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Judo gym. His experience in mixed martial arts was small to non-existent, having only experienced a few Judo classes as a child. After 7 months of dedicated training and obsessive learning, Roberto was promoted to a blue belt and won the Pan-American championship.
The high-quality training came from instructors and coaches throughout the years, but most notably Danny Ives and Julius Park from 88 BJJ and Lloyd Irvin from Lloyd Irvin Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). The teaching style of Roberto, developing a great training atmosphere while also giving back to the community and individuals a love for martial arts, is mimicked from the teaching styles of Lloyd Irvin.
Roberto graduated from Cornell University with an Electrical and Computer Engineering Degree, but after a brief stint in the corporate world transferred to Naples, Florida to open a Jiu-Jitsu school in 2007. The school started as a place only for beginning students, open only for three classes a week.
Team Third Law Martial Arts Academy
Team Third Law Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts is a 6000 sq. ft. martial arts facility located in Naples, Florida. The student base is generally from Collier and Lee County, although some students are also from Fort Myers, Bointa Springs, or Estero. The school is part of the Team Lloyd Irvin Association - a successful American-based team in MMA and Grappling Competition team.
The school is structured under the Lloyd Irvin style of teaching, which gives back to the community as well as helps develop strong, determined, confident individuals. The students participate in non-MMA related events throughout the state of Florida.
The main areas of competitive are mixed martial arts/MMA/UFC training, submission wrestling, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The school promotes mixed martial arts and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to women, children, and adults of all sizes and ages.
