Allan Holland

Allan Holland Jr. (born, November 13, 1984) is an American football quarterback who currently plays for the Eastern Kentucky Drillers of the Ultimate Indoor Football League. He is also the Offensive Coordinator and Quarterback Coach for the University of Pikeville.
Early life
Born the son of Allen and Terri Holland, Allan attended Perry County Central High School in Hazard, Kentucky where he was a star football player. He amassed 7,100 passing yards in his career with a school-record 76 touchdowns as a four-year starter, earning honorable mention all-state honors, was named the District 3A Player of the Year, as well as being ranked in the top 10 percent of his academic class. He was named a 2-Star prospect according to Rivals.com, and committed to Wake Forest University. He was previously committed to Eastern Kentucky University, but two days after his verbal commitment, he was offered by Wake Forest.
College career
Wake Forest
In his first season at Wake Forest, he redshirted and didn't see any playing time. His second season he was listed as the 3rd string quarterback behind Ben Mauk and Cory Randolph. He appeared in one game and had one incomplete pass attempt.
Eastern Kentucky
After two season at Wake Forest, Holland decided to transfer to Eastern Kentucky. There he played for current Purdue University Head Coach, Danny Hope, and Dean Hood. In his first season at EKU, he was the backup quarterback. He saw action in 3 games, before being named the starter for the final 4 games. In his junior season, he was named the team's starter after spring practice. He did not disappoint as he went on to become the Ohio Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Year, as well as College Sporting News National Player of the Week and OVC Offensive Player of the Week for Oct. 7. He also set a program record by going 201 pass attempts without an interception midway through the season. He averaged 165.8 passing yards per game, third most in the league, and became the first Colonel quarterback to finish with a completion percentage above 60 percent in 10 years. Holland also guided the Colonels to back-to-back Ohio Valley Conference championships, both lead to FCS births, but both ended up with losses to Richmond University (2008 Richmond Spiders football team won the National Championship). He was considered a 2009 NFL Draft candiate, but did not hear his named called.
Professional career
Eastern Kentucky Drillers
In 2011, Holland signed with the expansion Eastern Kentucky Drillers of the newly created UIFL. During a Week 4 win over the Northern Kentucky River Monsters, Holland was named the Conquest Cards Offensive Player of the Week. He accounted for eight touchdowns on 23-of-38 for 244 yards in the Drillers’ win. He is the second Eastern Kentucky player to earn the honors during the 2011 season, as Aric Evans was in inaugural winner. For the season, Holland started 13 games completing 200 of 381 passes, for 2,386 yards, with 53 touchdowns and 18 interceptions. He also rushed for a team leading 5 touchdowns. He was able to lead the Drillers into the Ultimate Bowl. Holland was 23-46 passing with 280 yards and 9 touchdowns, but the Drillers eventaully lost to the Saginaw Sting 69-86.
Coaching career
In his first season as offensive coordinator, Pikeville went 2-8, but averaged 29.9 points a game.
