Aric Evans is an American football wide receiver who currently plays for the Northern Kentucky Monsters of the Ultimate Indoor Football League. Early life Born the son of Racine Carmichael, Evans attended Taft High School, where he was a standout running back and wide receiver on the school's football team. He played well enough to earned all-city and all-league honors, while helping the Senators win the league title. He received little attention from big time college programs, and was rated a 40 on ESPN's Prospect grading scale. College career After his senior season, it was believed that Aric was going to go to the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, Indiana, a NAIA football power, but instead decided on University of Virginia's College at Wise, where he majored in Sports Management. After an outstanding freshman season, in which he had 4 100-yd games, and set then school season records for yards (832) & TD catches (11), he was named All-Mid-South East first team, Don Hansen's Football Gazette All-American 3rd team & South All-Region 1st team, Victory Sports Network All-American Honorable Mention, and Virginia All-State College Division 2nd team. In 2007, his numbers went down by 60 yards as battled injuries, but still had his second year with 11 TDs. He had a career-best 212 receiving yards on six catches with 3 TDs at No. Greenville. Has a junior he had 36 catches for 765 yards and 12 touchdowns. He ended his career with 138 catches, 2869 yards, and 35 touchdowns. Professional career Miami Valley Silverbacks In 2010, Evans signed to play indoor football, with the Miami Valley Silverbacks of the Continental Indoor Football League. Evans not get many catches while he played only 6 games with the squad, but when he did, the impact was great, as he had 8 catches for 130 yards and 7 touchdowns, while helping the traveling Silverbacks to the CIFL playoffs, where they lost to the eventual champion, Cincinnati Commandos. Eastern Kentucky Drillers In 2011, Evans signed with the expansion, Eastern Kentucky Drillers, in the newly formed Ultimate Indoor Football League. In the Drillers inagueral game, Evans hauled in 11 passes for 85 yards to go along with the five scoring receptions, which got him named the leagues first ever Offensive Player of the Week. Evans went on to have a highly successful season, as he posted 79 catches for 1089 yard and 33 touchdowns, on his way to a 1st Team All-UIFL selection. The Drillers ended up making it the UIFL's inaugural Ultimate Bowl, but the Saginaw Sting ultimately defeated the Drillers 86-69. Evans had 5 catches for 78 yards and 1 touchdown in the Ultimate Bowl. Northern Kentucky Monsters For the 2012 UIFL season, Evans has signed to play with the Northern Kentucky Monsters. He will be closer to home, and feels he has a greater chance of winning a championship.
