Spirits from the Ancient Days

Spirits from the Ancient Days is a collection of demos by Indonesian progressive black metal band Kekal, released on August 2004. The album contains demo versions of previously released tracks, two re-recorded tracks from the band's official demo Contra Spiritualia Nequitiae, and four pre-Kekal rehearsal sessions from 1990-1991. The rehearsal sessions are remains of Jeff Arwadi's high-school project Obliteration, a self-described "primitive punkish thrash metal" band styled after Bathory, Hellhammer/Celtic Frost, and early Sodom.
The album features a raw, lo-fi sound, with very poor production quality on some of the demo tracks.
