Open UG Labs

Open UG Labs is an undergraduate student-led research and technology lab at the College of Computing and Information Sciences (CoCIS) of Makerere University focused on computing, software engineering, open-source development, and the development of technical skills among university students. The organization supports research and engineering projects and structured opportunities for students to contribute to open-source software.

Conveyor CI

Conveyor CI is an embeddable headless workflow orchestration engine. It manages workflows, jobs, state transitions, events, and logs, while execution is delegated to infrastructure-specific drivers. It was submitted for the Sandbox Review to the Cloud Native Computing Foundation on January 21st 2026.

Orbiton JS

Orbiton JS is a JavaScript UI library that adopted the Virtual DOM tree concept of frameworks like React and Vue. Orbiton JS is nolonger under intense ACTIVE development and is rather used as a reference for research and teaching purposes in Data Structures And Algorithms classes.
