MGS CL-70
MGS CL-70 or Mat Ground Surfacing Class-70 is a mat fording system developed by Research and Development Establishment Pune of DRDO. It is a trackway expedient which can be laid mechanically in the field conditions and ensures smooth movement of tracked as well as wheeled vehicles over marshy desert and difficult terrain. The MAT is an assemble of extruded aluminium alloy planks of 5 meter wide interlocked to form a standard length of 50 meters, rolled into a spool. It enables shallow water fording upto 1 meter depth. The mat can also be recovered mechanically and is mounted along with layer on Tatra 815 VVN vehicle supplied by BEML The system can be mounted on other carrier too.
