Hasan Arslan

Hasan Arslan (born 1 January 2002) is a Turkish karateka competing in the 84 kg division. Competing in kumite, Arslan represents the Turkey national team. He won the silver medal in the men's 84 kg event at the 2025 World Karate Championships.

Career

In 2015, Arslan won the gold medal in individual kata for athletes born in 2002 at the Balkan Children Karate Championships. In 2020, he became senior champion in the 75 kg event at the International Eurasia Open Karate Tournament held in Istanbul.

At the 2022 European Universities Games held in Łódź, Poland, he competed for Marmara University. He won the silver medal in the men's 84 kg event and also finished third with the Marmara University team in men's team kumite. The same year, he finished second in the men's 84 kg event at the Karate 1 Series A tournament in Kocaeli.

In 2023, he became Turkish champion in the 84 kg event at the ÜNİLİG Karate Turkish Championships while representing Marmara University. The same year, he won the gold medal in the 84 kg event at the Karate 1 Series A tournament in Matosinhos. In 2024, he also won the Karate 1 Series A stage in Athens.

In 2024 and 2025, Arslan competed in the 84 kg event at the senior European Championships. He finished fifth at the 2024 European Karate Championships and seventh at the 2025 European Karate Championships. During the 2025 season, he competed at the Karate 1 Premier League stages in Paris, Hangzhou, Cairo and Rabat, finishing fifth in Rabat.

At the 2025 World Karate Championships held in Cairo, Egypt, he reached the final of the men's 84 kg event. In the final, he lost 6–0 to Egypt's Youssef Badawy and won the silver medal.
