Abdulakeem Labi Lawal
Abdulakeem Labi-Lawal is a Nigerian lawyer and Senior Advocate of Nigeria. He is the lead partner of Labi-Lawal & Co., a law firm based in Nigeria.
Education
Labi-Lawal studied law at the University of Lagos, where he obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree. He subsequently attended the Nigerian Law School and was called to the Nigerian Bar.
In 2013, he obtained a master's degree in International Law and Diplomacy from the University of Lagos.
Legal career
After completing his legal education, Labi-Lawal joined Tayo Oyetibo & Co., a Nigerian law firm founded by Tayo Oyetibo. He later established Labi-Lawal & Co., where he became the firm's lead partner.
His legal practice includes litigation, dispute resolution and company secretarial services. According to his firm's profile, he has represented clients in proceedings before courts and election tribunals in Nigeria.
Labi-Lawal is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Administration.
Senior Advocate of Nigeria
In July 2025, Labi-Lawal was named among 57 lawyers selected for the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria by the Legal Practitioners' Privileges Committee.
The 2025 list comprised 56 advocates and one academic applicant. Labi-Lawal was listed among the successful advocate applicants.
The new Senior Advocates were formally conferred with the rank in September 2025.
