Xavier ruffin

Xavier Ruffin (born January 14, 1988) is an American graphic designer, best known for his experience beyond his age in design with a focus in web, motion graphics, and print. He was also one of the originators of the ORI movement in 2005. While in high school Ruffin turned down Yale recruiters to receive his under graduate degree from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design (2006-2010) because he "just liked the people more than the names ". Ruffin has created logos, album covers and websites for organizations like Know thyself™ StreetAcademy, rap artists L.O.G.I.C.S. and T-KNOW, and has worked on projects with people like Valery Charter and Shaquille O'neil.

Biography
Early life and education
Xavier Ruffin was born on January 14, 1988 during one of the only blizzards on record in the state of Arkansas. His family moved to Milwaukee Wisconsin in 1991. There his talents became prevalent at a very young age, being placed in several advance math classes and latter recieving a 6 out of 7 on his
International Baccalaureate higher level fine art exhibition. Although life was not easy out side of school. Ruffin's childhood home had been rattled by drug addiction, poverty, and domestic violence leading to constant moving and even homelessness. But once his father got into the world of information technology and they both moved to Madison, Wisconsin things turned for the better.

Early career
With some connections from his father Ruffin began doing freelance design work with clients from all over the united states at 14 years old. At the time every thing he knew was self taught trough library books and online tutorials. By the time he graduated from John Marshall High School in 2006 Xavier Ruffin had all ready had paintings, digital art work, and photographs published in local and national media outlets and appeared in gallierys as a part of the scholastic Alliance for Young Artists & Writers in the Smithsonian Institution and Milwaukee Art Museum. He has also created motion graphics for Kohl's http://www.Kohls.com/elle Department stores and ELLE Magazine.

Influences and other works



Development of theory
With works titled "Self Awareness" and "Self Reflection" it can be concluded that Ruffin likes the idea of discovering of the inner being. Ruffin says that he is "seeking to spark I dialog between the external and the internal."
