is a fictional character on New Zealand's soap opera Shortland Street Character History Mona first arrived in Ferndale unannounced and uninvited to Justine's fake funeral (herself unaware that it was fake). After the funreal Callum takes Mona for a tour of the Hospital where she mets Yvonne Jeffries and Gerald Tippet but is rather rude to them. When Pretending he has urgent work, Callum hands Mona over to Sophie. They have an uncomfortable lunch together and Sophie challenges her grandmother for her rudeness. When Sophie discusses the intolerable situation with Callum and Hunter, Mona overhears and threatens to leave but all of the remaining McKay's convince her to stay. Since her arrival it is clear that her and Sophie have a troubled relationship. |
