Angry left

The Angry Left is a term that refers to a group of people in American politics who have a liberal viewpoint, hence the term "left", and are very angry with the current presidential administration, hence the "angry." President Bush acknowledged the Angry Left in his address at the 2008 Republican National Convention, saying "If the Hanoi Hilton could not break John McCain's resolve to do what is best for his country, you can be sure the angry Left never will."
