WoW Gollum

WoW Gollum was a World of Warcraft Private server, that was founded at 24th January 2008 and it run until 4th February 2009. WoW Gollum was founded by Shinzon as a playground for himself and his friends, later on the server was released public, it soon became notable around April-May, where most of the people were joining and playing. WoW Gollum, also give the players a new experience, different from the other private servers, with quests, creatures and NPC's that were designed based on Blizzard's leveling and design system. With the custom changes WoW Gollum released a lore about it's additions called "Wrath of Mordor", that was incomplete at time of its disband.
History
At Summer 2008, WoW Gollum changed its ISP Connection in order to bring a better game experience to the players, solving lag issues. In August 2008 WoW Gollum released its lore, with also many game changes (server sided) which made possible to the players to adventure into new worlds and fight against new creatures and meet up on new quests. These changes were called "WoW Gollum: Wrath of Mordor".
In Winter 2008, WoW Gollum reached the 130 players online simultaneously, also an account base of 14.000 accounts, in October 2008, the unused accounts were canceled, after an mass-email warning the account numbers fell down to 3.000 accounts that were used frequently. When Blizzard moved against some popular servers by that time, WoW Gollum changed its website temporary to avoid problems with Blizzard. When the World of Warcraft's second expansion were released (Wrath of the Lich King), the playerbase was lost, also the donations amount weren't enough to keep the servers up.
December 2008 the server was pretty much empty, with a player amount of 10 to 20 people. In order to keep itself up, a donation amount was required upon registration of 2 USD.
At January 2009, WoW Gollum was empty, also it was brought down to public at 30th January 2009, and the GM ("Game master") staff was disbanded at 2th February 2009. Later on WoW Gollum come up as a Voting site, however it was taken down in mid-summer 2009.
Lore
WoW Gollum, unlike the other private servers, had a very deep and customized lore regarding its world and the changes that were occurring by time, also events were created up by the lore. There are 6 parts of WoW Gollum's lore: Gollum, Isengard Monastery, The Witch King and last a prequel to Wrath of Mordor called "Old Memories". The known and most important lore characters were Izula, Ishann and the Gollum. The lore characters also were planned to include the staff members and many other World of Warcraft world bosses.
Gollum
Azeroth and Middle Earth have both been around for a very long time. It used to be that the two worlds knew nothing about each other. Several months ago some of Sauron's evil minions that survived his death decided to come up with a way to bring back the "One Ring" in an effort to bring Sauron back from death itself. In doing so, they also brought back something that they did not expect.
Something had been bound to the ring by its soul (or what little soul it had). Gollum arrived back in Middle Earth when they cast the spell to try and bring back Sauron. He quickly escaped the clutches of the Orcs that had mistakenly brought him back before they could destroy him. Now, they had not had a chance to bring back the ring.
He decided to make his way to the old tower of the fallen wizard Saurumon the White. Within the deep libraries of scrolls within the tower he came across the Scroll of Teleportation. When he read the ancient scroll, a portal suddenly opened. He stepped cautiously through the portal and discovered a whole new world... Azeroth. Though we do not know why, he believes that the One Ring is here in Azeroth.
Now, we have no idea if it really is, but Gollum will stop at nothing to try and find it.
Wrath of Mordor
Wrath of Mordor, was a whole new chapter into WoW Gollum's lore, where characters were introduced and also new worlds and events were involved. This part of the lore was written by Dimitri and Shinzon, Cait reviewed and worked on the grammar and syntax errors.
Isengard Monastery
Meanwhile Gollum has been searching around Azeroth for his precious. The forces of Mordor marched against the legions of Gondor at Middle Earth. Archmage Xanthious found the world of Azeroth and has requested a call for help in the battle. Later on, the greatest heroes of Azeroth joined the legions of Gondor and made them stronger. But this was not enough: the forces of Mordor with their dark magic have taken over many Gondor bases.
Many heroes joined to this battle, but after they killed Shagrat, one of the most powerful servants of The Dark Lord, everybody noticed that this was only the start of a terrible oncoming war. Some days later, the messenger of Mordor reached Shanks the Red inside the basement at the Rohan hills with news about Isengard. Isengard, a place that seemed abandoned since the 3rd era, has come again to claim The Ring of Power, before Gondor could destroy it. Shanks immediately ordered to the 4th Rohinim Legion to defend Rohan and establish a base near the cave, so the help coming from Azeroth could be more organized. Ero's and Gondor soldiers were fighting side by side once again for their liberty and for their worlds.
But the fortress of Grand Album reached the lands of Rohan, and many terrible mages and necromancers started summoning minions around the lands. The battle for the Hills of Rohan seemed critical, so Shanks the Red with the council of Gondor Officers and Ras Frostwhisper decided to strike at the source of this power: Isengard Monastery, a giant base where the Isengard forces were trained, prepared and sent to battle. The battle against Isengard's forces had started.
Witch King
The battle against Isengard was terrible; many Gondor soldiers suffered infinite loops of tortures and nightmares, and Azeroth heroes were fighting against their biggest fears against the leaders of Isengard. The caves of Rohan Hills are controlled by Gondor, where the legions are preparing to strike against the Fortress of Grand Album and at the fortress of Mordor, where the shadows have come from. But something that no one expected happened; Ishann the Sunbringer, the actual Witch King of Mordor, struck against the forces at Azeroth.
Inside the cave under Ironforge, where the troops were preparing, many Mordor minions appeared, invading the cave, and a big battle started.
As Izula and Ras Frostwhisper were trying to save the people from the cave, Ishann appeared at their front. In the same instant, Ras Frostwhisper summoned the 18th Legion of Gondor. Ishann held his sword, ready to kill the remaining people, but Izula cast a mass teleport spell.
Ishann put his sword back, and said "Uuma ma' ten' rashwe, ta tuluva a' lle." Instantly, all the Gondor soldiers died where they stood and Ishann disappeared, leaving a few minions in the desolate cave. The forces began regrouping at The Village of Brea while Izula is constantly interrogated from Gondor officers about Ishann...
Old Memories
24 Human Years ago.........
In the plains of Nagrand there was a powerful Dranei family that has always dedicated its will to protect and maintain Nagrand in peace and prosperity. But one day the Orcs came and many families were slain or were made into slaves for the Orcs that were under the command of the powerful necromancer Ner'Zhul.
With the many fights that came along, Izula’s father, a grateful Dranei and hero of the liberty, moved with his troops against the Orcs and the Burning Legion into a battle to what is now known as the Black Temple. Some days later, while Izula was around the plains with her mother, they found in the river an unconscious elf child.
The child elf had long, golden hair and wore a red and gold robe. Izula’s mother was worried about him, thinking that he may have possibly escaped and the Orcs could be hounding for him. She didn't want to ignore him in front of young Izula’s eyes, so she took the child to their home and named him Ishann. Later, when he woke up, Izula’s mother asked him where he came from and how he had fallen into the river, but Ishann didn't seem to remember what exactly happened. He couldn’t even remember his real name. The days passed, and Izula’s mother was always worried that Ishann could become a menace for the Dranei and Izula, but it seemed that they were like brother and sister.
After many battles and a long war, Izula’s father and the other family members came back to their homes to prepare to escape to Shattrath city for salvation. Izula's father had many scars from the war, and had the same thoughts as the mother about Ishann. However, he preferred to have some happy moments before the true devastation from the Orcs.
Time passed, and Ishann reached the adolescent age. His magical power has grown incredibly with his obsession with mana and magical power. The other Dranei were thinking he was a demon like the Orcs and many turned against Izula's family.
Ishann didn't want to doom their lives, so he decided to leave Nagrand and take his faith and go out on his own. Before he left, Izula’s father revealed his true thoughts about him. Ishann surprisingly didn't seem angry and answered “Scared of me, huh? I don’t blame you." Ishann were walked for many years around the worlds and fought many battles and wars. He defeated old gods and titans, causing the people who witnessed this to give him the title "The Sunbringer”.
After Ishann came to middle earth, the Dark Lord Sauron started corrupting his mind, and Ishann fell into a deep depression, which caused his death. The witches of Mordor revived Ishann as one of them; his long, gold hair became white and dead, and he was sealed inside a special tomb until he was needed again.
Now with the Lich King's amount of mana, the fights and war that are evolving upon the world of Azeroth were enough to revive him. Ishann is back to complete his faith.
Characters
Izula
Izula, was a draenei female, that born in nagrand during the very first attacks from the orcs. Her father fought against the orcs, eventually he died in a later fight with Izula's mother. Izula is a powerfull mage and spell caster, which let her to be notable even in the city of Dalaran.
She met Ishann for the first time in a river, where Ishann, a kid of 3-4 years old, was seriously injured. Her mother knowning that Ishann was just a kid, she cured him until he would be better. Later on, when Izula was in her late adolescence and Ishann into his adolescence, there was a fight from the people of Nagrand towards Ishann because he was an elf.
Eventually Ishann left Nagrand using teleportation, and Izula didn't meet him for the next 30 years. After that Izula moved to Azeroth and cured adventurers, helped soldiers and notable druids in their works. Izula traveled around Azeroth for years, where she met a young female elf that was taken captive by the blackrock orcs, after the defeat of Archimonde in the world tree, she saved that elf and taught her the ways of a mage, also she gived her a name Seras. Later on Izula and Seras traveled north and eventually reach the plaguelands, where Ras Frostwhisper was terryfing the remaining people and adventurers, Izula freed him from the Lich King's control and eventually he traveled with Izula and Seras around Azeroth. Later on Shinzon come at Izula's home telling her that Ishann was about to be captured by Sauron's will. However, Izula ignored Shinzon's words, and she assembled an army of mages and priests called "Union of the Sun" that supported adventurers from Azeroth and Gondor soldiers against Mordor.
The Union of the Sun successfully battled in Isengard and also reached Ishann's main citadel located in Rohan, however Seras was killed in the fight by a storm of undead. Eventually Izula and the other leaders of the attack, adventurers reached the room where Ishann was located.
After a fight, Izula cleansed Ishann's soul and released it, the citadel started to collapse due to the fight that sucked all the mana in the terrain, she took all the survivors and injured and teleported them outside, however she left Dimitri behind.
Later on she revived Seras, and told her to continue with her own life, and her own adventure. Its revealed that Izula and Ras Frostwhisper were assembling an army to take down the Benum Mortis.
Ishann
Ishann was one of the last elves coming from the world of Keldoran. He didn't had any family, and later on eventually some dranei sold him as a slave to the burning legion, however he managed to escape from the caravan due to an attack from Draenei. However he was seriously injured from the fight and fell into a river.
When he woke up at Izulas family house, Izulas mother asked him a few questions, however he had forgot all his memory. Izulas mother was able to find his name by some temporary magic runes on Ishann's body.
Ishann spent his childhood with Izula and other draenei, eventually he had a fight into his adolescence with the draenei of the zone, and Izulas mother and father had to make him leave, before the anger of the people would kill him. Ishann, leaves Nagrand in secret.
Ishann traveled throught worlds with teleporting, and eventually into his early adulthood met an elf ranger named Rhea the Blackbow, after some years that they adventured together, Ishann come at azeroth, where Rhea become pergament. However Ishann was called to fight alongside with Gondor and Shinzon's army towards Mordor, in the first attack. Rhea followed him to Middle Earth, however the same night before the attack, he put Rhea asleep with some magic, and left the tent. When Ishann, the gondor army leader and Shinzon were cosulting the strategy, Ishann decided to go alone, without putting into a risk the lifes of other soldiers. Even thought Shinzon immediately debated that decision Ishann teleported to the gates of Mordor, eventually he killed roughly 3.500-4.300 orcs, undeads and other beasts, almost halving the forces of Mordor. However Dimitri appeared and said that it was Ishann's destiny to fall. After a quick fight, Ishann injured Dimitri's eye making him almost blind then Dimitri managed to trap Ishann and to let him be captured by Mordor, where he was tortured - eventually brainwashed to become Sauron's new witch king. However when Shinzon reach the gates it was already too late, Dimitri said what he did at Ishann, and after a few momnts, Ishann as the Witch king killed most of the Gondor army, and its leader, Shinzon saved many gondor and adventurers.
Later on Ishann as the witch king marched upon Rohan and Gondor, eventually attacked Ironforge and Ashenvale, killing 1.200 dwarves, 500 merchants and 100 adventurers. Leaving storms of undead in the zones he raided. Then he was attacked into his citadel by the forces that fought against him, eventually he was defeated and Izula freed his soul, after many years of no see.
Eventually after that Rhea give birth to two kids; a boy and a girl, however she was killed immediately and the boy was taken, Izula managed to save the girl, Alba Sunrise. Ishann's spirit was always wandering between certain people, but not Izula. Later on Ishanns spirit fought against Dimitri in Nagrand, but when Ishann's spirit was unable to attack Dimitri, Ishann's son fought and he had chance to decide wether to kill or to spare Dimitri's life, after that he killed Rhea and Ishann.
Eventually after these events Ishanns soul is freed, and finnaly gone the Benum Mortis almost disbaned, however Ru'Afo found Dimitri and eventually took over the Benum Mortis, and took power over Azeroth.
