Wilma Pang () is a Chinese-American, San Francisco, California educator, community activist, and political candidate. Career and life A Peace and Freedom party member she is a community activist residing in San Francisco, California. Ping currently works as a music and dance professor at City College of San Francisco. She is the founder of A Better Chinatown Tomorrow, a community group that promotes the ethnic community's history and culture. Political history Political origins After Chinatown community members made the suggestion in 2006 she ran for San Francisco school board. She garnered 32,235 votes or 6.9% of the vote. 2010 mayoral election She is running in the 2011 San Francisco mayoral race. Pang has stated that she had "the language ability and experience to empower the disenfranchised, limited-English population".
