William Figuerero

William Figuerero is a Cuban rapper and the cultural
promoter in charge of hip hop for the Asociacion Hermanos Saiz, an
institution which promotes hip hop. Figuerero prefers critical
underground rap and is interested in artists
that incorporate an educational message in hip hop including elements
of love and peaces without abandoning hip hop's rebellious roots.
Figuerero has been influential in the promotion of new Cuban hip hop
artists such as Explosion Suprema, Los Paisanos, Hermanos de Causa and
Los Aldeanos. As a promoter, has persuaded directors of radio shows to
announce forthcoming concerts, to play a song, or even interview a
group. Figuerero's artists are selected for their developed elements
of breakdance, graffiti and spoken word.
