Red Roots

RedRoots (sometimes stylized Red Roots) are a ska/dance band featuring Terry Sphinx, Mark Hebden, Sam Neild and Nicodemus Flower. On the basis of their live shows alone and with no official releases, they have gained support slots and several tour slots alongside The Libertines, Babyshambles, Pete Doherty, Estelle, and The Thirst.

RedRoots play ska influenced pop music citing Desmond Dekker, Bob Marley as influences.
RedRoots won the Xfm Uploaded Radio Chart Competition in July 2008 which gained their track "More and More" significant exposure through Xfm DJ Steve Harris's Xfm show and exposed the band to a large audience. As winners of the competition, the band were selected to open the 2008 Wakestock festival. The band were invited to play Animal Windfest.. In April 2009, the band played alongside Pete Doherty and The Paddingtons, in rememberance of music promoter Johnny 'Rhythm' Seddassy at the Rhythm Factory.<ref name=nme/>
