Will Carter (born March 24, 1980) is the General Manager of the Albany Panthers in the PIFL. Early life Carter was born and raised in St. Louis Missouri to Parents Dianne and Willie Carter. He attended McCluer High School, where he lettered in both football and baseball. Upon graduation, he received a football scholarship to Fergus Falls Junior College in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. At Fergus Falls, he led his conference in rushing with 1,129 yds and 8 tds, earning All-state and All-region selections. College and beyond After playing for Fergus Falls, Carter finished his career at Kentucky Wesleyan on a football scholarship. He graduated in 2004 with a degree in Fitness and Sports Management with a minor in Business Administration. After college, he got his first job in pro sports with the af2's Tulsa Talons as the Director of Ticket Sales. He relocated in 2005 to Macon, Georgia, where he worked as the Ticket Operations Manager for the Macon Knights, also of af2. Carter got his first major role in 2006, when he was named Vice-President of the South Georgia Wildcats. Under Carter, the Wildcats went 36-28, including a divisional championship and three playoff berths. After the af2 folded in 2009, Carter was named the General Manager of the newly formed Albany Panthers. In less than a month, the organization signed twenty-two players, secured venue and concession contracts, acquired practice facilities, hired a front office and coaching staff, and purchased uniforms, equipment, and housing. In their first season, Carter helped lead the team to a league best 8-4 record and playoff berth. In his first three years as GM, the Panthers amassed an impressive 33-9 record, including three divisional titles and two league championships.(2011-2012) The team also has a 21-2 home record. Carter also helped to develop the Youth Indoor Football League in Albany, Georgia. . In 2012, he was nominated for and won the Albany Herald's 40 under 40 award.
