Both teams are currently in the same league.
History
Whitchurch Alport formed in 1946 being named after Alport Farm, the home of a local footballer Coley Maddocks, who was killed in action in World War 2.
Alport joined the Shrewsbury & District League in 1946 and became champions in 1947/48. After this they decided the league was too "amateur" for their liking and sought after a higher standard of football. In the 1948/49 season they joined the Birmingham League, but towards the end of the season, news of the proposed Mid-Cheshire League reached the ears of a member of the club committee, and this led them to become founder members. Alport have played their home games at Yockings Park after the land was purchased by Mr. Robert Ashley. It is unknown when the ground was actually purchased, but it is thought to have been the only ground used by Alport. The original changing rooms still stand today.
Teams
The club has a first and reserve team as well as youth teams ranging from under 8s to under 16s. The club also has a ladies' team which has only been around for a few years but has won the Shropshire Women's League Cup twice: first in 2007 and they retained it in 2008.
Even though the senior team plays in the Mid-Cheshire league, the reserve teams play in the Shropshire County League, and the youth teams all play in the Shropshire County Minor Youth League
