Horsham Sparrows Football Club is an English community youth football club based in Horsham, West Sussex. The Club plays in the Horsham and District Youth Football League of which it was a founder member in 1969. History Founded in 1967 following the increased popularity in football after England's success in the 1966 FIFA World Cup. The Club has historically played in blue and white stripes, through the club's long standing connection with fans of Brighton and Hove Albion FC. It is opperated for boys and girls in mixed teams from Under 7s to Under 10s and for boys from Under 11s to Under 18s with girls moving to Horsham Sparrows Girls FC to play in the Sussex County Women and Girls Football League. On 11 June 1969, Horsham Sparrows were one of the founding clubs of the Horsham Mini-Minor League, now known as the Horsham and District Youth Football League. Venues and Grounds As a not-for-profit community club, Horsham Sparrows have never had a ground of their own, instead using many of the Local Authority public pitches hired from Horsham District Council.
