Warwick Hutchings

Warwick Hutchings (born 1946) is New Zealand senior public servant and diplomat.
Early life
Hutchings spent his childhood in Auckland and received his secondary education at . His school academic successes including his first place in New Zealand in the 1961 School Certificate examination, and third place in the school senior academic rankings in 1963 in which year he also won the Taylor Cup for senior languages.
Career
Hutchings became a public servant in the New Zealand Department of Foreign Affairs in 1972. He was New Zealand Permanent Representative (holding the personal rank of an ambassador) to the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), Nairobi (stationed in Harare) (1992-1994),
In 2005 he was Press Secretary to HRH Charles, the Prince of Wales. He was also, in 2005, employed in the New Zealand External Assessments Bureau. In 2007-2008 Hutchings was the Deputy New Zealand High Commissioner in Harare, Zimbabwe with accreditation to other African countries including Kenya.
