Vossenveld

Vossenveld is one of the largest student residences in the Dutch city of Nijmegen. It houses both local students and exchange students of Radboud University Nijmegen and HAN University.

Vossenveld was constructed in 1974 in the suburb Hatert by the "SSHN" public housing company and provides housing for 626 students. Most rooms are located in 66 corridors containing a total of 594 rooms, with a kitchen and toilets that are shared by 9 students per corridor. Every room has its own shower and an ultra-fast internet connection.

Dutch students can only start renting a room at Vossenveld during their first year at college or university. The residence also has rooms for one exchange student of the ERASMUS programme per corridor, and has three separate corridors exclusively for exchange students that attend international courses at HAN University. These corridors are permanently rented by the university and have a separate supervisor appointed by the university. They are also the only corridors to have several extra services (such as furniture being present in the rooms) because of the limited amount of time that these exchange students usually stay in The Netherlands.

Vosseneld is not located on any campus as both universities' locations used to be spread throughout the city of Nijmegen. Both universities are now in one location which can easily be reached from Vossenveld by bus and by bicycle.
