UWM Union

The UWM Student Union is a multi-purpose building located on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The Union building was constructed in various phases. The original west-wing was erected in 1956, and was enlarged and remodeled in 1963. The east part including the Kenwood Inn, Wisconsin Room, Union Theatre, Union Art Gallery, UWM Bookstore, Gasthaus, meeting rooms and offices for the Union staff and student organizations, and a two-level parking structure was completed in 1972. The last major addition included the Union Atrium, UW Credit Union and Food Court, was completed in 1987. In total the facility consists of 331,168 GSF not including the 483 slot parking garage.
