Viva The Matadors

Viva The Matadors is an SB Nation affiliated website that covers the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Originally created as Double T Nation, the site was renamed following a copyright dispute with Texas Tech University.
History
Viva The Matadors was created by a man named Seth C. Seth graduated from Texas Tech University in 1996 with a BA in English and a minor in Education. He then later received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Tulsa College of Law. Seth C. currently practices law outside of Dallas Texas. Seth C. created a site called Double T Nation in 2006 and the name was changed to Viva The Matadors in 2012. It is interesting to note that Seth C. last name does not begin with a C.
In 2008, ESPN praised the then named Double T Nation as a source for Texas Tech news, and has been subsequently praised for breaking several national sport storylines over the years. DTN/VTM benefited from the rise in popularity of Texas Tech Red Raiders football during the Mike Leach era.
The site has continued to grow and in early 2013 gained national attention again when the site faxed a menu from the 50 Yard Line Restaurant to Tommy Tuberville in Cincinnati Ohio, referencing an alleged incident in which the former Texas Tech head coach left recruits at the dinner table of the restaurant.
On July 2, 2013, Viva The Matadors was recommended by USA Today as a valuable place to get information about Texas Tech sporting events.
A shirt designed by the website's proprietor and sold on the site was the best selling shirt in July and August 2013 amongst all SB Nation sites.
