Irving Quant

Irving Quant is an American magician specializing in card magic. Irving is known worldwide for his performances and contributions to the art. He specializes in corporate and fundraising events.
Biography
Irving Quant was born on February 22, 1987 in Lubbock, Texas. As a single child, he found magic as a pass time and later became his profession. He was raised in Mexico part of his life and now resides in West Texas. He studied business management at Texas Tech University. He comes from Chinese and Spanish heritage. He speaks fluent Spanish.
Career
Irving Quant fell in love with magic after seeing a magician perform at an early age. He would later find a magic book in his native city of Lubbock and later be introduced to the local magic club after meeting a member of it during his high-school orientation. He went on to study magic books and meeting magicians at conventions. Quant made his first appearance and lecture at the Texas Association of Magicians convention (TAOM), presenting his early innovations at the age of 16 and grabbing the attention of the top names in magic . Within a year he was admitted into the circles of magicians and noted as a prodigy in card manipulation He continued to perform locally and abroad, performing for CEO's of the coffee industry and national companies.
In 2008 he was featured on the cover of local news papers, television, radio, and on national news for accurately predicting the scores of the Texas Tech vs. Texas football games, where Texas Tech defeated The University of Texas with a last minute touchdown. He later went on to predict Texas Tech vs.Oklahoma game.
He became a student of magician Rene Lavand, and studied his technique and philosophy for many years. He inherited his unique style while at the same time building upon it to create his own.
On August 27th, 2009, Irving was presented his brand of card magic to magicians worldwide and made it available for purchase. His trick Carousel quickly became one of the most popular card tricks in the world today. On May 14th, 2010, after three card tricks being released for purchase , Irving introduced a new technique in card magic on his DVD Quantum Mechanics called "the distribution technique".
In the summer of 2010, he became one of the founders of The Magic Session, an online website providing online content to magicians and setting new grounds for the magic community's interaction.
Today, it has become the leading online website for live broadcasting and interaction for magicians.
He performs for corporations and private events in the West Texas area and abroad. His show The Sum- An evening of living vicariously through yourself features his unique sleight-of-hand card magic mixed with poetry, stories, and art.
Style of Magic

His unique approach to magic is heavily influenced by paintings, bringing concepts from the field into his creations as well as themes represented by famous artists. His own creations incorporate the works of Pablo Picasso, Rene Magritte, Henri Matisse, as well as poetry of Jorge Luis Borges and Pablo Neruda
