Tony Obuh

Anthony Chuks Obuh (born 27 January 1957), is a is a Delta State gubernatorial aspirant. Born to the family of Mr. George Obuh, from Ika south local government area of Delta, state. He served as a Permanent Secretary in Government House, Delta State from 2007-2014. He is a member of Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM), Honorary Member of the Institute of Strategic Management and also a Member of the Institute of Personnel Management (IPM).
Early life and education
Anthony Chucks Obuh was born to the family of Mr. George Obuh, who numbered among the pioneer educationists of Ika Nation in the pre-independence era. Mr. George Obuh was also a devout Catholic and his career as a teacher took him to many towns in Ikaland, and beyond, with his immediate family always in tow. Being under the Catholic Missionary Service, Pa Obuh was also obliged, along with his teaching duties, to assume minor religious roles in the various towns and villages where he served. This early experience of moving through the various clans of Ika nation and being under the constant and the Eletu-Odibo (Oshobile) family of Isale-Eko, Lagos.
He attended St. John’s II primary School, Agbor from 1964 - 1969 from where he obtained First School Leaving Certificate. Thereafter, he proceeded to the St. Anthony’s College, Ubulu-uku and Government College, Ughelli from 1969 - 1975. Young Anthony immediately advanced to the Prestigious University of Ife, Ile-Ife, from 1975 -1979, where he earned a Bacholor of Arts (Combined) Honours, History/political. , Anthony later attended the University of Ibadan for a Masters degree in Industrial and Labour Relations (1986/1987
Career as a civil servant
Anthony served as a civil servant for 32 years he started his civil service career as an adminstrtative officer II in 1982 ( Then Bendel state ) rose to hold several key position in the Delta State (then Bendel State ) civil commission. Such as director of investment and loans 1995-1998, director, planning, research and statistics, acting chairman bendel insurance company limited in 1988, He was appointed as a Permanent Secretary in Government House in 2007, a position he occupied till august 20014 when he tendered his resignation to contest the forth coming gubernatorial in Delta State under the platform of the people democratic party.
Political Future
After several months of speculation on his political future, Anthony chucks Obuh has indicated interest to succeed Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan, the current governor of Delta State in 2015.
He has since engaged in several public and political party consultations. He was present at the just concluded People's Democratic Party unity rally held on the 27th of September 2014 in Benin city. Tony obuh has been the described as the right candidate to succeed Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan in 2015.

Anthony chucks Obuh is Married to Esther Ogor Obuh, and has two sons and two daughter
