Thomas Parkinson (entrepreneur)

Thomas Parkinson is an American businessman who founded Peapod alongside his brother Andrew Parkinson.
Early Life and education
Born in New York, Thomas had his high school education at Phillips Exeter Academy. He later received a BA in Studio Art (1982) from Wesleyan University in CT. He also received a Masters of Industrial Design in 1988 from Pratt Institute.
Career
Thomas Parkinson started his entrepreneurship career as a sales representative for Procter & Gamble. He later founded his own software company, "Resource Control Systems", which he later sold to team up with his brother Andrew to start Peapod. In 2009, Thomas alongside his brother Andrew started a company named ItemMaster but later sold it off in January 2019.
In 1989, Thomas and his brother Andrew founded Peapod in Evanston, IL. The company stands as the oldest e-commerce company in the US. Both brothers brought their consumer product marketing and technology experience to the Peapod venture.
Thomas is a board member of the GS1 Grocery Retail Initiative.

Personal life
