Demet Sabanci Cetindogan, , a member of the 3rd generation of Sabanci family, is a Turkish businesswoman and entrepreneur. She was born in Adana in 1965 as the daughter of Haci and Ozcan Sabanci. She's currently the Chairperson of the executive boards of TV channels within MediaSa Yayincilik A.S. Demet Sabanci Cetindogan completed her secondary education in Adana and her university education in Richmond College, London, on business. She started her career in 1988. She worked as Marketing Manager between 1988 and 1992 and as Assistant General Manager until 1993. In 1994 she started working with Bossa T.A.S. In Bossa, she was in the positions of Assistant Manager of the Towel and Velvet Division during 1995 and Bossa T.A.S. Supply Director between 1995 and 2003. Also, she acted as a Board Member of both Bossa T.A.S. and Yünsa A.S. between 2003 and 2008. Demet Sabanci Cetindogan started her own ventures in 1998 with her textile business DEMSA . In 2006 she founded the root cell research company Onkim and media company MediaSa. In 2008, she also established the marine transport company Densa. MediaSa brand specialises in thematic channels and currently has three TV channels on broadcast: Fashion TV, first Turkish youth and education channel ZTV and the World Travel Channel, which focuses on tourism and travel. The group also publishes seasonal fashion magazine Fashion TV Magazine. She is currently the Chairperson of the High Advisory Board of TIKAD (Turkish Businesswomen Association), Chairperson of Executive Council of YCD (Creative Children's Association) and a member of WAAS ( The World Academy of Art and Science). A prominent figure in public contribution, Demet Sabanci Cetindogan was given awards and plaques by many distinguished organizations such as TOCEV (Tuvana Foundation For Educating Children), Mimar Sinan Universitesi (Mimar Sinan University), Unicef Türkiye Milli Komitesi (Unicef Turkish National Commitee) and Basbakanlik Cocuk Esirgeme Kurumu (Turkish Prime Ministry Child Protection Agency). She's married to Cengiz Cetindogan and mother of two daughters Piril and Merve, and a son, Cevdet.
