The Stalin Subway

The Stalin Subway (original name - Метро-2, the Russian name of the Moscow Metro 2) is a realistic first-person shooter developed by G5 Software/Orion, and published by Buka Entertainment. The game is set in post WWII Stalinist Moscow. The player takes the part of a Soviet officer trying to prevent an overthrow of the Party.

Plot

In the Kremlin’s depths there a plot against Stalin is developing. The General Secretary is already 72 years old, but he is still able to arouse fear in his subordinates and subjects. The most reliable way to do away with the aged ruler and usurp his power is to use a powerful secret weapon right during the Party assembly. Gleb Suvorov finds himself dragged into these events against his own will. Can he must prevent the explosion and rescue the lives of innocent people, and his own father.



Setting
The game is set in Stalin's Moscow and features real locations such as Moscow subway stations (such as Teatralnaya, Mayakovskaya, Belorusskaya-Radial'naya) the Kremlin, Moscow State University as well as some secret locations such as the D6 (a secret military subway under Moscow), the underground city of Ramenki, secret laboratories, underground shelters, and Stalin's personal bunker.

Gameplay
There is a fairly diverse range missions and maps. There are both open spaces and underground areas to explore.
