Carmen Perez

Carmen Perez has made great strides with her acting career since earning a Best Supporting Actress award for her portrayal in Soldiers Don’t Cry (by the Valley Theatre League Artistic Director Achievement (ADA) Awards), which was also nominated for a NAACP Award. Carmen just wrapped feature film Not Forgotten with actors Simon Baker & Paz Vega. She was recently seen in Illegal Tender, produced by John Singleton, co-starring on Everybody Hates Chris and will be also guest-starring on The Shield in the upcoming last season. In 2008, she will be seen in feature films The Platform, He’s Just Not That Into You (Drew Barrymore) and Irene In Time. Carmen has just inked a deal to write and perform on a single with Dauman Music/Universal Music Group. Jay & Sweet (writers of Jennifer Lopez’s hit “Love Don’t Cost A Thing”) have signed on to co-write the song with Carmen. In addition, producer and songwriter Ellis Miah (who has written, produced and remixed such artists as Hannah Montana, Seal, Back Street Boys and Jennifer Lopez) and Billboard Charter singer/ song-writer & celebrity vocal coach Kyle Puccia will be a part of the talented team. She has also guest starred in shows such as FX’s Nip/Tuck and Showtime’s Barbershop, has recurred on General Hospital and has taken the leap to writing, singing and songwriting while maintaining longevity on the acting side.
